her post from Facebook for those who don't go there We were bringing him down the hall to go home, I gave him a kiss, he looked so tired. Then he couldn't walk anymore and he fell to the ground. They went to get a stretcher to help him to the car. Then he started breathing hard and mouth open with tongue out. I got on my knees and said "Buddy, please don't do this to me!" and after a few seconds, he stopped and I knew. They came back out and rushed him to ICU, because I said yes, try CPR. Then they came out and asked if I wanted them to try rescusitation drugs and I said yes. After they left, I thought maybe that wasn't the right thing to do. It didn't matter, she came out and said the drugs weren't working, his heart was barely trembling and he wasn't awake, so I said to let him go. We brought him home in a box coffin, I will take him to my vets tomorrow and he will go for individual cremation Friday. We brought him to my parents so they could say goodbye. Yes, I opened the cover. He was still warm. He is in our laundry room now in the box, on top of his bed. We brought Perdie in, she smelled the box and we opened it and she smelled him all over and then his face. She turned around to go out, and led me into the living room to his bed, and she laid down on it and started smelling it. I think she knows.Attachments:

Cathy, our hearts are with you. The very hardest thing about living with a Dal is saying goodbye. Buddy is in good company.
