My mischievous boy, my Charlie, went to the bridge this morning. We thought we were going to lose him back in February, but he managed to hang in there for a few more months. But all too soon, it was time. My heart has been broken yet again. But what else can you do when their own body fails them. Mommy loves you, Char Char. I hope Jake isn't grumbling at you at the bridge. I know you must be running happily now that your back legs are working again. Please be a good boy, and don't cause any trouble at the bridge. And please don't bark for us. We can't come yet...but someday. Love you, little man. Charlie - Still Misbehaving CD ~10/1/96 - 10/5/09 Julie

I'm so sorry about Charlie. Losing one of these spotted babies is always hard.

Thanks for the condolences. It means a lot. The house is SOOO quiet without our Charlie. The puppy is trying to make up for it though. Here is a picture of Charlie on his last day. He was in the car with Gordon getting ready to go to the vets. He looks so sad. Rest well, my lovely boy.

that picture breaks my heart - your beautiful boy, trapped in a body that just wouldn't work any more...he needed a rest. Give the puppy a cuddle from me and tell him he can be as noisy and naughty as he likes for a while.

I'm sorry for your loss, Julie. Charlie looked so tired, I can't help but feel that he is thankful for the gift of eternal rest you've given him..
Godspeed, sweet boy.

Julie, like all the others I am so sorry that Charlie had to go. But he had a wonderful life with people who loved him while he was here.
So, so many never have that. Some are someone's precious baby until something else comes along to take the spotlight and the love.
Charlie was loved every day of his life.

Hi Julie, I just stumbled on this board with all the old (and new) P&O members. I know it's a bit late, but I'm so sorry about Charlie. He looked like a beautiful dog, and I hope your memories of him have helped to lighten your heart a bit.
